Purpose: To encourage and to support our students to further their education. Five students will receive the award. At the end of the second and third years of higher education, these five students will be eligible for renewal of this award if the same criteria are met each year. Therefore, after four years of college education, this award is for $4,500 ($1,500/year).

Eligibility Criteria for Continuing College Education Scholarship
- 2025 West Contra Costa Retired Educator Scholarship recipient
- Full-time enrollment in a trade school, 2-year or 4-year college/university, verified by college registrar’s Fall 2026 class enrollment
- 2.0 grade point average verified by official college transcript
- Completed application form and required documents submitted in PDF format

- Responses to the three (3) prompts on the application, not to exceed 1-2 pages (350-500 total words for all three prompts) double spaced
- College Registrar’s Fall 2026 course enrollment/class schedule to verify enrollment
- 2025-26 college transcript
