The final CalRTA Div #58 meeting of the school year wrapped up on a high note at our June 6 luncheon as we celebrated the 50th year of the Retired Educators Scholarship Fund with a total of fifty $2,500 Scholarships for students from all ten high schools, five Aspiring Educator Scholarships, as well as fifteen $1,500 Continuing Education Scholarships for previous scholarship recipients from 2023, 2024, and 2025.
The recipients introduced themselves through video, sharing their unique stories and aspirations. A special thank you to Ron Toledo for once again expertly compiling these individual videos into a wonderful presentation.
During the meeting, the winning electronic ticket was drawn for the 2026 Scholarship Quilt, “Didgeridoo.” The lucky winner is Sally Kennedy, long-time member of quilt maker, Janet Smith’s book club. Click here to see the quilt and information about it.
